Referent in the international trade show of the food sector

Alimentaria Exhibitions manages more than 150,000 m2 of net exhibition space, 5,000 exhibitors and 200,000 buyers

Alimentaria Exhibitions is a company of Fira de Barcelona, specialized in the organization of relevant events in the food industry such as Alimentaria, one of the main important in Europe, Bta-Barcelona Tecnologías de la Alimentación, Alimentaria & Horexpo Lisboa, Alimentaria Mexico y Seafood Barcelona.

The company has leading positions in the food trade fairs sector in the countries where it operates, managing more than 150,000 m2 of net exhibition space, with a volume of 5,000 international exhibitors from industry, trade, equipment and food technologies, mobilizing around 200,000 professionals.

Alimentaria, International Food and Drinks Exhibition, ranks among the top three trade fairs in Europe. From 75 countries, nearly 4,000 international companies -1300 of them from abroad -, leaders in the food manufacture and distribution come to Barcelona to meet more than 140,000 buyers from 143 countries. Alimentaria Barcelona celebrated its 19th edition in March 2012 at the Fira de Barcelona (Gran Via) occupying an exhibition and activities area of 94,800 m2. Alimentaria is distributed in 14 different shows that optimize the visit and business professionals. Next edition of Alimentaria will be held from 24 to 27 March 2014.

Bta. allows professional visitors to discover the full range of technology, machinery and intermediate products required by the food and beverage industry. In May 2012, Bta. returned to the modern facilities of the Gran Via de Fira de Barcelona venue, simultaneously with Hispack-International Packaging. The alliance was attended by 1,400 exhibitors- one of four international- and welcomed more than 40,000 visitors -8% international- becoming the most important event in all of southern Europe dedicated to the machinery and technology for the food and packaging industry. Bta. will be held between 21 and 25 April 2015.

Seafood Barcelona is the result of Alimentaria Exhibitions and Diversified Business Communications agreement. The first edition of Seafood Barcelona in October 2012 featured 134 exhibitors and thousands of visitors from high qualitative profile over 90 countries. Seafood Barcelona covers all marine products, equipment and technology for processing. The next edition of Seafood Barcelona will take place from 22-24 October 2013.

Barcelona Degusta is a select 'market' of agri-food products and knowledge. The show is structured in product areas with a varied range of theoretical and practical activities about eating. Next edition of the show is scheduled for the second semester of 2013.

The expansion of Alimentaria Exhibitions

Alimentaria&Horexpo Lisboa is the joint celebration of Alimentaria Lisboa, Horexpo and Tecnoalimentaria, in which each show maintains its own personality and allows companies to benefit from significant synergies. Jointly organized by Alimentaria Exhibitions and Feira Internacional de Lisboa (FIL), Alimentaria&Horexpo Lisboa 2011 was held on FIL venue and brought in 45,000 m2 more than 30,000 professionals and 800 companies. Next edidion will be held from 14 to 17 April 2013.

Alimentaria Mexico, food and drinks show, has become an excellent meeting point for industry professionals worldwide and a reference to the Latin American market and North America. The fair, which is held annually in the Mexican capital is jointly organized by Alimentaria Exhibitions and E.J. Krause. Next edition of Alimentaria Mexico will take place between 4 - 6 June 2013.
