Alimentaria promotes its Mexican contest with 450 companies of 30 countries
 

The eighth edition of Alimentaria Mexico opens today its doors until the 5 June of 2008 in the center Banamex, in Mexico D.F. Organized by Alimentaria Exhibitions, the fair has achieved to gather 450 companies of thirtieth one of countries. A hundred of the exhibitors they are Spanish’s and they go to the show of the hand of the Spanish Institute of Foreign Trade (ICEX).

Near 5.000 foods and drinks they will be able to see themselves in this edition of Alimentaria Mexico that, according to the organizers, expects to congregate near 12.000 professional visitors. A hundred of Spanish companies go to the sample in an official pavilion in which professional tastes will also be carried out on Conyac de Jerez, wines of Montilla-Moriles and broths of La Rioja.

The more represented Spanish foods, also of the impulse of organizations like Prodeca (Promoter of Catalan Exports) they are the wines, olive oil, cheeses, preserves of fish, vegetal preserves and mountain ham, among other.

Alimentaria Mexico, of annual periodicity and professional character, it is the only contest of the Aztec country that gathers the offer of all the subsectors of the feeding and the drinks, attracting national and international buyers especially of the channel of the distribution, the main chains of which visit every year the sample, as well as wholesalers and importers in search of new products and markets.

Spain, second investor of the sector in Mexico
Mexico has internationalized in the last years its habits of feeding and has been consolidated like the door of entry in the EE.UU. Spain is the second investor in foods and drinks of Mexico, according to the CEPAL (Economical Commission for America Latina). The Spanish products have a magnificent image and appraisal on the part of the Mexican consumers, associates with an excellent relationship quality-price. According to the ICEX, they highlight in position of leadership the wine, the cured ham and the olives. Mexico constitutes already the second senior economy of America Latina and it shows the more important demand of foods and with senior potential of growth of the Center and the South of America.

Among the main ingredients of 'Alimentaria Mexico 2008 are the Mexican Congress of Gastronomy - with the duck and the Mexican dessert like central subjects of this edition- and the hall of the innovation Innoval that will present Mexican herbs, among other products.
