Green Moments: cannelloni, fingers and fish that mimic the look, texture and taste of animal-based products

Maheso expands its “Green Moments” range. In this commitment to plant-based products that imitate the appearance, texture and flavour of traditionally animal-based products, the company is presenting three new products at Alimentaria that are suitable for vegetarians, vegans and all those who want to reduce their consumption of animal meat: bolognese-style cannelloni, cheese-flavoured fingers and 100% plant-based vegan fish nuggets.

In addition to free-from trends, Maheso also brings to this edition of the fair two proposals for snacks and accompaniments: emmental and gruyère cheese fingers, and camembert cheese bites. These two products contain no palm oil, no hydrogenated fats, no colourings, no preservatives and can be prepared in the frying pan and in the deep fryer or in the oven without using oil. For breakfast or snacks, Maheso gives a twist to tradition with its twister churros, filled with cocoa cream and hazelnuts and intertwined with each other.

Lasagne and cannelloni are two of the brand’s star products that could not be missing at Alimentaria. Maheso and Philadelphia, a leading manufacturer of cream cheeses, have teamed up to produce two new varieties of pasta in individual format. This combination gives rise to the braised vegetable cannelloni with Philadelphia and the lasagne carbonara with Philadelphia.
