White, red and rosé Zeena: three young, vegan wines made with organic Grenache from Terra Alta

“A sip of freedom” is the motto of Zeena, a Spanish start-up that markets organic and sustainable canned wine. This year, the brand proposes a toast at Alimentaria with the new member of this young family, “Zeena bubbles”. This sparkling wine made from Penedés parellada grapes has just been launched on the market with the same philosophy as its siblings.

The brand, owned by the company Mindful Drinkers, was born in 2020 with the desire to rejuvenate the wine industry by offering innovative ways of consumption adapted to new trends and audiences.

Since its launch, the brand has opted for organically grown Grenache from Terra Alta (Catalonia) to launch three young, vegan-certified wines, with no additives or added sugars, which it is taking to Alimentaria: Zeena white, based on 2021 white Grenache, dry and fresh, with a golden hue and aroma with floral and citrus tones; Zeena red, with 2021 red Grenache, purple in colour and clean aroma with notes of strawberry and cherry; and Zeena Rosé, with 2021 red Grenache and salmon pink tone, with a fruity and floral aroma, and lactic notes of red fruit.

Zeena, a globally disruptive and environmentally conscious company, is responding to new trends in the sector, which point to a significant increase in young and organic wines in pick & go formats. Zeena packages its products in 100% recycled and recyclable aluminium cans, protected by an internal Vinsafe film, to maintain the properties of the product and reduce the environmental impact.  And it does so in individual formats (187 ml and 250 ml), so that you can enjoy wine anywhere and at any time.
