The two entities sign an agreement for the generation of commercial opportunities abroad
Alimentaria, the international food, beverage and food service exhibition, and CaixaBank, the financial institution which leads business with the agri-food sector in Spain, have signed a strategic collaboration agreement which is committed to innovation and quality as a way of strengthening the internationalisation of companies in the food and beverage sector. Organised by Alimentaria Exhibitions, a member of Fira Barcelona, Alimentaria will be held at Fira Barcelona’s Gran Via venue from 20 to 23 April 2020.
Thus, The Alimentaria Hub, Alimentaria’s most innovative area, is sponsored by Caixabank as a Global Partner, as it is the main driving force behind the space thanks to the agreement signed by J. Antonio Valls, managing director of Alimentaria Exhibitions, and Juan Antonio Alcaraz, managing director of CaixaBank. In the more than 3,000 m2 of The Alimentaria Hub will follow the conferences, lectures, fast talks and study presentations focused on six thematic areas: Innovation (R & D + i) + Brands; Nutrition, Health and Wellness; Internationalization and Globalization; Distribution and Retail; Markteting and Communication; and Corporate Social Responsibility. With the help of a hundred experts, this space will be an exceptional meeting point for innovation where business opportunities, knowledge exchange and networking will be promoted.
CaixaBank has consolidated its position as a benchmark institution for companies through a specialized model that supports its corporate clients in 127 countries through operational branches, representative offices, correspondents and bank holdings that, together with the specialized managers working in the Spanish offices, offer the best advice for company operations abroad. The entity offers services both to SMEs and micro enterprises that are starting their export activities and to large corporations and business groups that are facing more complex international projects. In addition, the financial entity materializes its support to the agri-food sector through AgroBank, its leading specialized line in this sector in Spain.
The next edition of Alimentaria will once again be held alongside Hostelco, the International Restaurant, Hotel and Community Equipment Show. Both events will occupy more than 100,000 m2 of net exhibition space – almost the entire Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía venue – and will bring together more than 4,500 exhibitor companies.
