Lee Kum Kee: sauces and concentrates for dressings and accompaniments, made in the traditional and non-GM manner

La Perla, a leading European distributor of exotic food products and international cosmetics, will bring the sauces of Lee Kum Kee, a brand it has been officially distributing since last January, to Alimentaria.

Founded in 1888, Lee Kum Kee is the world’s largest Chinese sauce brand, with more than 200 products for seasoning and flavouring classical Chinese, Asian and fusion-stylerecipes. This wide range of products includes oyster sauce, made from 100% oyster extracts, a traditional recipe invented by Lee Kum Sheung and kept secret by the Lee family for generations. This multi-purpose sauce enhances the umami flavour and can be used as a dressing, an accompaniment and a condiment for marinades and stir-fries.

Another of the brand’s flagship products is its non-genetically modified soy sauce with no added preservatives or MSG (monosodium glutamate), made in keeping with a traditional method with up to three months in the sunlight. The result is a sauce with body, consistency and an intense aroma.

Lee Kim Kee is adapting to the new needs and trends in food and has a wide range of gluten-free, non-GM (non-genetically modified), vegetarian and vegan products.
