Under the brand Terres de Ponent, the Consell Comarcal del Segrià is taking part for the first time in Alimentaria with five companies from the region with quality seal. One of these co-exhibitors is Foment Agrícola de Les Garrigues, S.A., an agri-food company specialising in the cultivation, processing, preparation and packaging of nuts, which will be at the fair with both its most traditional and its most innovative products.
The various traditional production processes that this company has been carrying out since 1982 have enabled the Les Garrigues brand to offer a wide variety of products made with nuts from its own plantations located in Maials (Lleida, Spain), next to its production centre. Foment Agrícola’s catalogue includes raw, roasted, fried, caramelised and chocolate-coated nuts, as well as nuts in a paste, presented in vacuum-sealed glass jars.
In addition to the traditional nut varieties, the brand is constantly innovating with new products, including, for example, its 100% natural pistachio, cashew, almond and hazelnut spreads, ideal for making cookies, nougat, sauces, batters, coatings, ice creams, shakes and energy bars.
Its products can be found at Alimentaria, at the Consell Comarcal del Segrià stand, along with four other companies from the region: Puigdellívol Nuts Group, Cervesa Lo Vilot, Molí d’oli Aresté Teixidó and Elixirs de Ponent.
