COVID-19 special measures

Alimentaria and HOSTELCO have protocols to minimize risk and guarantee the safety of all those attending the event. Following security measures will help us prevent and slow the spread of the virus. Furthermore, Fira de Barcelona has received international recognition for planning, management and application of the protocols against COVID-19.

Learn about the current measures and requirements to travel to Barcelona, access the venue and at the venue itself. The plan is under constant review to ensure the best approach for April 2022.

1. Travel to Barcelona

Check the entry requirements according to the country of origin from which you are traveling, in addition to the restrictions established for the return. You can also know the measures that you must follow during your stay in Spain.

If you are flying to Barcelona, please check with your airline COVID-19 travel requirements.

The Spanish Government has implemented several measures to protect people’s public health, including the health control of passengers upon arrival in Spain. From this website https://www.spth.gob.es/ you can fill in the health control from and obtain your QR code to show it at the controls upon arrival in Spain. You must fill out the form 48 hours before your flight.

2. EU digital COVID certificate

The EU digital COVID certificate allows you to travel between the member states of the European Union (EU). The COVID vaccination certificate is valid for 9 months from the administration of the last vaccine in the complete vaccination schedule. The COVID recovery certificate, however, is valid for 6 months. According to European regulations, this certificate is obtained through a PCR diagnostic test.

During the Alimentaria & HOSTELCO celebration, to access the venue it will NOT be mandatory to show the EU digital COVID certificate if the pandemic situation remains stable, and the local authorities consider it so.
