Chops enriched with omega 3, beers with proteins and vitamins to aid post-sport recovery, plant-based bacon and lamb, gin made from arbequina olives, anti-diabetic ingredients and robots and artificial intelligence to manage restaurants and serve customers in a personalised manner. These are just a few of the examples of the 300-plus innovations set to be unveiled at Alimentaria & Hostelco 2024, which will once again turn Barcelona into the capital of food innovation.

Alimentaria&Hostelco 2024 grows and faces its most international edition

Alimentaria&Hostelco will hold one of the editions with the highest participation of international companies and professionals in its history. Of the 3,200 exhibiting companies, 900 come from outside Spain and 25% of the 100,000 expected visitors will come from more than 120 countries, thus consolidating its position as a leading European platform for the sector. The major challenges and trends in the industry, such as functional foods, sustainability and AI, will be addressed in more than 350 activities and demonstrations by 700 prestigious experts and chefs.

The Spanish meats industry exhibits its strength and leadership at Alimentaria 2024

The next edition of Alimentaria & Hostelco, which will be held from 18 to 21 March at Fira de Barcelona's Gran Via venue, will feature a programme of activities which will address the main challenges facing the food and beverage industry in terms of innovation, digitalisation and internationalisation of its markets. The participation of international companies in Alimentaria&Hostelco will increase in 2024

Alimentaria&Hostelco, the leading international platform for food, beverages, foodservice and hospitality equipment, will return to Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Vía venue from 18 to 21 March 2024 with a 15% increase in the number of international companies compared to the previous fair. Around 900 foreign exhibiting companies, alongside the 2,300 Spanish ones, will take part, while the leadership of the Italian companies and the return of the Asian companies after the Covid-19 pandemic will be noticeable.
