Organic food has its place at Alimentaria

Interested in exhibiting in 2026?

A response to the constant growth of ecological products

The Organic Foods area has been designed to provide maximum visibility to a constantly growing segment such as organic products, in which Spain is one of the world’s leading producing countries.

The rise of the organic food market has turned it into a major attraction for both industry and organised distribution, who will find in Organic Foods the best opportunities to showcase and identify the latest innovations and trends within this product category.

Organic Foods will feature more than 200 companies from the organic sector, bringing together the best opportunities to establish valuable contacts and to identify the new developments and trends being promoted across the industry.

In addition, it will also include a pavilion of Spanish organic producers, supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.

With the collaboration of Bio Eco Actual, the leading magazine in organic food, this edition introduces the Eco Route, an initiative aimed at identifying and showcasing all organic products present at Alimentaria, in addition to those exhibited within the Organic Foods area.

Ecovalia and ASOBIO, as the leading associations in the sector, provide strong representation and credibility to this initiative. Ecovalia, with over 30 years of experience and a broad membership of more than 17,000 producers, farmers, livestock breeders, processors, and organic businesses, promotes the growth of certified organic supply and works to enhance recognition of organic food across all channels. ASOBIO, representing companies that produce and market organic products, serves as the collective voice of the organic food industry in Spain, advocating for measures that strengthen the sector’s competitiveness and its visibility throughout the entire value chain.

In order to highlight the importance of this sector, La Plaza Eco is being created for the first time: a multidisciplinary and dynamic space that will become the sector’s hub at Alimentaria. The programme of activities, talks, product presentations and networking to be held there will be comprehensive. However, the main point of interest for participating producers will most likely be the meetings with buyers attracted to and invited by the event, both from the conventional sector and, with particular emphasis in this edition, those specialising in organic products at national and international level.
