Programa Hosted Buyers – Testimonial

Alimentariais a great opportunity for buyers to be acquainted with Spanish products and companies. Especially for OPTIMA SA, the oldest company in the dairy sector in Greece, it is the best way to establish business relationships with the best dairy producers of Spain and Europe-wide!

For me as a buyer, visiting Alimentaria is an opportunity to be present in one of the most dynamic trade shows for food industry. This fair gives me the opportunity to catch the latest trends and innovations in the market as well as discover new and innovative products, trends and solutions. Nerveless is also a chance to meet with current suppliers and get to know potential new ones.

We love coming to the Alimentaria, because it is held in one of the finest cities in Europe, Barcelona… Apart from this, we like being in contact with the best producers of Spanish food! Spanish food is great as it is passionately produced, with the heart!

My expectations are to see and experience a wide range of products, flavors, spices and dishes from all over the world – to talk to artisanal producers and understand exquisite craftsmanship. Overall, look forward to a gastronomic adventure filled with delicious discoveries, culinary inspiration, and memorable experiences at the food fair. The goal is to seek and find suitable products for the company Käfer in munich and built strong and succesfull partnerships between supliers and retail/gastronomy.

I have heard of Alimentaria as a show for quality product but have not actually visited the show. When the Hosted Buyer programme reached out to me, I decided to squeeze Alimentaria into my travel schedule this year and forgo an Asian show as I am currently sourcing for both Singapore and Malaysia.

Era la primera vez que visitaba la feria como Key Buyer y me ha parecido muy interesante y productivo. Creo que podemos llegar a acuerdos con varios de los expositores con los que me reuní. He podido saludar a varios proveedores nacionales y extranjeros con los que no tengo mucho contacto, así como conocer a otros que pueden tener cabida en nuestros hoteles.

Alimentaria show is one of the largest in the world, from which we have been able to import a variety of products for marketing in Paraguay, such as wines, champagne and beer. It is always new to be able to attend the fair to accompany the avant-garde that characterises it, the quality level of the exhibitors and the diversity of offers from different countries, which makes it extremely attractive for the expansion of our portoflio.

It will be my first time at Alimentaria, but the show is very familiar to me as I have received the best reviews from colleagues in terms of organisation, quality of the venue and exhibitors, so I am looking forward to making great contacts that will lead to excellent bi-national business relationships. I find the Hosted Buyers programme a great help as it makes interaction between buyers and sellers easy and possible.

Fino Foods Australia has been visiting Alimentaria for many years now and we are pleased to participate again in 2024. Alimentaria is a fantastic event where we are able to explore many of the artisan producers in Spain who are leaders in their craft. We are also able to visit other producers we have developed business relationships with. Many exhibitors we have met at Alimentaria have become valued suppliers for our business in Australia.

Our visits to Alimentaria have always been (and are) fruitful, it is a fasntastic venue to meet existing and new Spanish and International manufacturers from all food categories. We have always found newness and traditional products which are a great fit to our retailers. We are delighted to participate this time again in this programme and cannot wait to expend Spanish products in our assortment.

Alimentaria is a fantastic platform for showcase products and latest developments. World going to be hunger and food wastage, balancing food and health is a challenge nowadays. Functional food and technologies in one roof make me excited to visit Alimentaria. Expecting new participations, technologies, and innovations through Alimentaria.

For Practicheff it is an honour to have the opportunity to participate in Alimentaria 2024. Being a Mexican company that opens its borders to achieve a greater reach by working with new suppliers, products and services abroad, will allow us to be at the forefront and be more competitive in our industry. My mission is to discover Spain's superior products and find promising companies able to build good partnership with Samsung Welstory. Alimentaria exhibition are very diverse, futuristic and has excellent characteristics in mediterranean sea. Very excited to meet world best premium olive oil, authentic Mediterranean food, Iberico pork, agri-processed food.

For our company, attending Alimentaria means expanding our network of contacts and generating potential business opportunities by increasing our portfolio with high quality European products that we offer to our customers in Mexico, South America and the southern United States.

I see Alimentaria 2024 as more than just a trade show—it's an opportunity for discovery, connection, and inspiration. I can't wait to explore all the exhibits, engage in meaningful conversations, and come away with a better understanding of the latest trends and innovations in the food and beverage industry.

During Alimentaria, I hope to connect and cooperate with some good partners, especially suitable iberico pork producers to sign and jointly develop this potential product in the Vietnamese market.

We hope to return to Hong Kong with several new products ready to be imported and served to our guests in 2024. While nowadays most of communications and deals can be done on remote, there is nothing better than tasting together, and closing deals while seeing each other and enjoying nice food.

I am very excited to have the opportunity to visit Alimentaria. It will be my first year and first time in Barcelona, and I am very excited about the opportunity to start doing business with Spain, as we do with so many other countries. In our company we have a target that 7% of our sales, which represented U$1.2billion in 2023, will come from imported products. And I am sure that Spanish products can be one of our main suppliers.

I'd like to express my gratitude for taking part in the world's largest biennial international food, drink and gastronomy trade fair and I'd like to express my impression of the organisation, which is of a high level of professionalism, with every detail taken into consideration. Alimentaria attracts importers and exporters from all over the world. That's why our company has been keen to take part in this event for years, because it's an opportunity to make new contacts and exchange experiences at international level. Over the years, we have managed to win partners who have even become friends, and Alimentaria has become our biennial meeting place.
