Ardo’s new Eldorado, Mediterránea, Olympia and Sapphira salads, already dressed, are ready to serve – simply defrost them.
A world tour of salads
Insalata Eldorado, Mediterránea, Olympia and Sapphira make up the new range of world salads that Ardo is presenting at Alimentaria. Simply defrost them to eat, as they are already seasoned, and they can be served as a main course, side dish or starter.
The Eldorado salad combines white and red quinoa, edamame, black beans, sweetcorn, roasted red pepper, mango, diced tomato, spring onion and dried cranberries for a touch of sweetness. It is dressed with a fresh and spicy Thousand Island dressing.
The Mediterranean salad contains al dente penne pasta, crunchy vegetables such as cucumber, red onion and roasted red pepper, with juicy yellow and red cherry tomatoes. A classic dish dressed with Italian herbs.
Olympia is a Greek-inspired salad, made with a mix of orzo, marinated sun-dried tomatoes, orange and green lentils, black olives, red onion, roasted yellow peppers and garlic. The savoury flavour of the lentils is balanced by the heat of the garlic and the sweetness of the roasted peppers. A touch of mustard completes the dressing.
Finally, the Sapphira salad combines bulgur, farro, green and white chickpeas, cucumber, diced tomato and red onion. Peaches and blueberries add a fresh, sweet touch, and the Persian dressing, made with sumac and mint, rounds the dish off perfectly.
