A journey for the nose and palate

Cafés Batalla presents its four new varieties of world coffees: Ethiopia Sidama, Mexico Decaffeinated Mountain Water, Australia Skybury Trop and Jamaica Blue Mountain, all with SCA scores above 80, confirming their status as speciality coffees.

Ethiopia Sidama is grown at an altitude of between 1,300 and 1,700 metres, on smallholder farms in the Sidama region. It offers aromas of cocoa, peach and caramel, with lime-like citrus acidity and a smooth texture. In the cup, it is bright, with notes of light honey and a lingering floral finish.

Mexico Mountain Water Decaf is grown on the Santa Fé estate in the Sierra Madre de Chiapas, where it is hand-picked. It is an aromatic, sweet and very well-rounded decaf, with aromas of cedar, vanilla and mild cocoa, with hints of walnut and orange blossom; it has balanced acidity and an enveloping body.

Australia Skybury Trop is grown in Maareba, Queensland. It features floral and mild spicy aromas with notes of hazelnut and cedar; it has delicate acidity and a light body. In the cup, it is elegant, clean and has a subtly sweet profile.

Finally, Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is grown in the region of the same name on the Caribbean island, at an altitude of between 1,700 and 2,500 metres. It stands out for its fruity fragrance with notes of cocoa, plum and a hint of pepper. It has a well-rounded acidity and a silky body. In the cup, it is refined with hints of honey and almond, and a very balanced finish.
