Tradin Organic develops its Regener-Eight tool to ensure that its commitment to sustainability leads to actions having real impacts.
A commitment to real sustainability
As part of its commitment to sustainability, at Alimentaria Tradin Organic presents its Regener-Eight tool that – within the framework of its Nature Positive Plan – evaluates food and beverage industry supply chains regarding their environmental impact and aspects for improvement. The goal is not only to promote more sustainable practices, but also business opportunities.
Regener-Eight evaluates eight regenerative dimensions in the areas of environmental performance, agricultural practices, and social impact so that companies committed to sustainability have a clear picture of areas for improvement and can take advantage of opportunities for collaboration. They can participate through multi-year co-financing, volume-based contributions, or specific support for concrete projects, such as the expansion of agroforestry, soil improvement, or community initiatives.
When it comes to its commitment to sustainability, the challenge is no longer to set goals, but rather to ensure that they have measurable impacts on complex global supply chains. This is where Tradin Organic’s Nature Positive Plan comes in, developed to connect commercial sourcing with specific improvements to ecosystems, climate resilience, and farmers’ livelihoods.
It offers a structured and transparent focus on promoting regenerative practices at the source, while maintaining a reliable and scalable supply of products, such as cocoa, coffee, oil, fruits and cereals. To this end, Tradin Organic has sourcing teams and agronomic expertise in the regions of origin, its people working closely with growers and cooperatives to implement locally appropriate and economically viable regenerative practices.
